Emma Lewallen, MA, MFTC
My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that healing and growth happen in the context of relationship — with ourselves, with others, and within the therapeutic space. In my work with clients, I draw from several guiding lenses:
Relational: Growth happens when we feel safe enough to show up as we are.
Trauma-Informed: Our stories live in our nervous systems, not just our memories.
Attachment-Based: How we learned to seek comfort, safety, and connection early in life continues to shape how we show up, love, and protect ourselves in adult relationships.
LGBTQIA+ Affirming: Your truth belongs. Your wholeness matters. Your identity is not up for debate.
Neuro-Affirming: By understanding and incorporating neurodiversity into our work, we are able to approach sessions in a way that actually works for the brains and bodies we have now.
Somatic: Your body remembers. We listen to it.
My work is collaborative, compassionate, and real. No pedestal, no perfection — just humans doing meaningful work together.
If you’re ready to untangle old patterns, build healthier relationships, understand yourself more deeply, or simply feel less alone in what you’re carrying, I’m here. And I really love what I do.
